Gene Simmons sells kidney stone for charity

KISS star Gene Simmons has raised $15,000 for a good cause - by selling his kidney stone in a online auction.

The demon rocker revealed on the "Today Show" that he came up with a unique use for the kidney stone. He says, "I passed a kidney stone and I put it on eBay for charity. (I got) $15,000."

The charity in which the money went to is unknown at this time.

It seems that other celebrities have also been involved in "interesting" auctions in the past. William Shatner of "Star Trek" fame also sold a kidney stone to raise money for charity in January of 2006. Bill raised a whopping $25, 000 for his stone: http://bit.ly/13STQB
