It appears Kiss will be the next major act to lock into Las Vegas for a residency. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are reported to be in negotiations to create a Vegas show with a $50 million budget.
According to the Las Vegas Review Journal the show is expected to be called ‘Kiss: Carnival of Souls’.
Stanley and Simmons are said to be working on the project with comic book publisher Radical Publishing and Singapore company Storm Lion.
Radical’s Barry Levine told the Review Journal "It involves every aspect of music, movement, lighting, stage design and special effects. Since Kiss is the epitome of theatrical rock, we need to make sure it represents the Kiss brand. The Kiss brand has endured and sustained itself like no other group for the past 35 years."
The show is expected to open in 2011.
Meanwhile, ‘Sonic Boom’, the first Kiss album in 11 years will be released in September.
Kiss will also start a new North American tour in September in Detroit.
