KISS frontman Gene Simmons wants to play God in a Hollywood blockbuster.
The rocker believes he is perfect for the part.
Asked what role he would love to play, he said: “God. Like in the George Burns movie. I should have been God. I don’t mean the son of God. That tends to be too Jewish. It gets to be like, ‘I’m dying, I’m coming back’. You can’t make up your mind. Too Jewish.”
US funnyman George Burns starred in the 1977 film comedy, Oh God!
He played the Almighty, who appeared to an assistant manager of a grocery store as a good-natured old man.
Israeli-born Gene – real name Chaim Witz – appears in new movie comedy, Extract, alongside Ben Affleck and Jason Bateman.
He said: “They called up and said, ‘You play an a**hole LA lawyer’.
“I said, ‘I’m in’. They said, ‘Do you want to see a script?’
“I said, ‘No’.”
