Review: KISS Alive 35/Sonic Boom Concert RecordingPart of being a KISS fan is collecting all the cool "swag" that the band has available online and during their concert tours. Well, Concert Online is letting you take home your very own KISS Live experience right after the concert. Concert Online records each show of the KISS ALIVE 35 Tour in North America. Just like 2004's 'Rock The Nation' tour, KISS is selling professional live recordings of their shows immediately after the concert.
There are two options available for purchase. The audio recording is available as a USB leather wristband with a KISS metal buckle, or a two CD digipak with cover art.
USB WRISTBAND
The original leather KISS USB wristband contains the audio recording of the show of your choice in highest MP3 quality (320 kBit/s) and KISS bonus multimedia material. Just plug in your wristband to a USB port on your computer and start the embedded KISS multimedia player to listen to your MP3s and enjoy the bonus features. Of course you can copy your MP3s to your computer, your MP3 player, etc. to listen to KISS ALIVE 35 wherever you want! The wristband can also be used as a standard 1GB USB flash drive.
2-CD SET
The KISS ALIVE 35 DigiPak contains 2 discs with the complete recording of one concert of your choice in CD quality.
Review:
The quality of these recording's are fairly decent. The audio is mixed well, balancing out the drums, guitars, and vocals rather perfectly. A very clean and clear recording.
When you purchase one of these recordings at a show, you have to go through a small process of registering online to receive the second half of your recording. You get the first disc of the show (about 10 songs) when you purchase the live recording at the concert. The second disc comes via snail mail. Interesting marketing scheme? Or just a timing issue with the recordings? But its well worth the wait. The quality is good.
