Sonic Boom - Back To The Future

KISS' Sonic Boom: Back to the future with stunning results! This is the first album of new material since 1998's Psycho Circus, and the best news is that it could have been recorded in the band's halcyon days. For example, Never Enough - a cross between an AC/DC filler and Elton John's Saturday Night's Alright - could be an outtake from Dressed to Kill, while the ultra-catchy Nobody's Perfect would be a shoe-in on Dynasty.

Guitarist Tommy Thayer may be playing well within himself, but Paul Stanley, who also sat in the producer's chair, is singing better than ever. In a nutshell, this is classic KISS for 2009, and if that statement floats your boat to any degree, you're in for a real treat.
