Rockers KISS Announce Liverpool Echo Arena Gig

by Jade Wright, Liverpool Echo

ROCK legends KISS are the latest act to sign up to play the ECHO Arena.

The quartet – identified by their face paint and flamboyant stage outfits – rose to prominence in the mid-1970s on the back of their elaborate live performances which featured fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, and pyrotechnics.

Their Arena gig on Tuesday May 4, 2010 comes as part of their tour to promote their new Sonic Boom album.

Co-vocalist Paul Stanley said: “We're covering the whole musical history of the band on a stage that takes KISS one giant step further in our eight inch heels.

“We're stoked. You wanted the best? You got the best.”

The band’s other co-vocalist Gene Simmons added: “Now. More than Ever. KISS is a four wheel drive monster truck. Our mission? To rock Planet Earth. To spread the gospel of Sonic Boom.”
