KISS Members Say Drugs Are For "Losers"
KISS founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are speaking out against drug use in the rock and roll industry.
In a recent interview with Britain's the Sun, the rockers said drug use is for "losers" and blamed drugs for destroying the band's original line-up.
Though reports initially claimed that drummer Peter Criss left the band due to a salary dispute and guitarist Ace Frehley left for personal reasons, Simmons and Stanley are now claiming that both were using drugs.
"If you listened to it objectively, it grew old pretty quickly," Simmons said of Criss and Frehley's drug use. "All of the bull-s**t we had to go through with the drugs and booze and lack of self esteem that Ace and Peter had just sucked the life out of us. It's been a thorn in my side for a long time."
